New Voice Mail For Podcast!

There's a new way to record and leave a message for The Spirit Blade Underground podcast, and it's easier than ever!

At The Spirit Blade Underground, you'll see a tab on the right side of the page that you can click to open. Then with one touch of a button, you can use the microphone on your computer to record and send a message Paeter can play on the show! (Use the latest version of Firefox if the tab does not appear.)

In some cases you may have to "allow" this function by changing your browser settings, but even this is done easily by using the hyperlink to your flash settings included in the voice mail tool itself. Just two extra clicks!

Send feedback on the show, submit a review or segment of your own, or just say hi! It would be great to hear from you!

 
Prepping For Podcast Relaunch

This month we're getting ready for the launch of The Spirit Blade Underground Podcast, version 2.0!

As of this week our website is completely transferred to a new host, paving the way for a complete redesign of the site in the coming months. In the meantime, we're able to use our new hosting features to host the podcast ourselves! This means our costs will decrease by $6 a month, AND the audio fidelity of the podcast will be increased!

The weekend of September 7th will mark the new beginning of our podcast, starting with an "Episode 0" that will introduce new listeners to the show, and remind long time listeners of what we're all about!

In addition, the new version of the podcast will feature all new music and segues for the entire show and it's growing number of segments.

So keep an eye on The Spirit Blade Underground next weekend!

At this point, its understandable that some may ask why we're inviting donations. Our aspirations are always equal to or greater than our income. There is so much that we would like to offer to the world of Christian geeks, but time and finances are a constant limitation.

Current Needs (As of July 2012):

Paeter's desktop computer (which he does all of his sound mixing on) is nearly 10 years old and has been showing its age for awhile in ways that increasingly and significantly slow down and prohibit work. The new website we're preparing to launch requires significant work and will cost around $1700 in total. In addition, each month Paeter usually reviews several movies (that he would otherwise wait and rent from Redbox to see, or not see at all) in order to produce timely and helpful  reviews. (Tickets are between $5-$8 for each movie.) And finally, our hosting costs for the website and podcast together are approximately $20 per month.

It's also Paeter's desire to financially support his family and allow his wife to cut back and eventually eliminate her need to work. Since 2006, Holly Frandsen has sacrificially chosen to work a job she would rather not, and provide most of the Frandsen family income because she believes in the vision and mission of Spirit Blade Productions. It is only because of this that Spirit Blade Productions has been able to continue and move forward since launching in 2006.

Our Commitment

At Spirit Blade Productions, we believe that supporting your local church should be the primary focus of your giving. We are also not a non-profit organization, and cannot offer tax deductions as incentive for your help. But we would be grateful for any support you choose to offer outside of your regular church giving, and will use every penny donated to equip, encourage and inspire Christian geeks to serve and live for Christ.
