Where to begin? I always strive to keep the newsletter condensed and to the point, and that is ESPECIALLY challenging since so much has happened since the last edition I sent out!
DSI FILES: UNLUCKY SEVEN
For starters, at the end of last month The Spirit Blade Underground Alliance released a new, free audio drama entitled "DSI Files: Unlucky Seven". The story is set in a future where special agents sanctioned by the church are sent out to investigate and deal with significant spiritual events or threats. The script is a cool blend of sci-fi and the supernatural (which you know *I* dig!) and I hope you enjoy checking it out!

AUDIO BOOKS
I've also been considering the prospect of producing one or more audio books each year to supplement production of audio dramas and other projects. I put the idea out on the table for Spirit Blade productions fans to comment on, and the response I got was very supportive of the idea, provided it doesn't significantly interfere with audio drama production.
For now I'm only testing the waters and taking on one or two very small projects to help me become better at estimating the "work load per word" for a given audio book project. You'll be able to hear one of these "water tester" projects this weekend on the Spirit Blade Underground Podcast as I present a short story filled with vampires and werewolves entitled "The Silver Dance"! Don't miss out!
SPIRIT BLADE 3 SONG PREP
My latest creative work has involved getting my voice back in shape through a renewed daily vocal exercise routine, and selecting hymns for adaptation in Spirit Blade 3. Although I've had requests for specific hymns from a few listeners, I'm actually aiming to resurrect obscure material. The less familiar, the better. I think I've found some great forgotten nuggets that will fit with the themes I'm exploring in Spirit Blade 3.
SPIRIT BLADE: THE ADVENTURE CARD GAME
Lastly, I recently announced on the podcast (though not yet on the blog) the development of an adventure card game that takes place in the Spirit Blade universe! You can get your first look at one of the cards here! Play-testing has begun and I hope to release the card game sometime in the first half of 2012. Until then, I plan to release regular sneak peeks that reveal more cards in the game and give more details about how game play works. Stay tuned! Some very exciting stuff is coming!

This month I released a new "Behind The Scenes" video that takes you into my office as Krys VanSlyke records for the role of Kaphan in "Pilgrim's Progress: Similitude Of A Dream"!
Highlights include my off-topic rant on Heath Ledger's "Joker" and demonstrations of my complete technical ignorance. (It's a wonder I work with computers all day!)
